Multiple Adversaries:The Price For Faithfulness
A son of the heathen have i called.
An edomite, I have appointed.
He Who bore a grudge
After the slaughter of David my servant.
He who remembered his wounds,
After seeking refuge in Egypt,
As Pharaoh's tenant.
To strengthen his hands,
The hatred of the son of Eliada,
Have I awakened.
Crowned by a pack of greedy hands,
To your kingdom they advance,
For the taking.
To Ensure his arm does not fail,
And his might wane not,
The rebellion of Jeroboam I have permitted.
12 cities apart,
10 as his.
For my servant David's sake,
Your stool shall not fall away from your heels.
Because of your abominations with the goddess ashtoreth,
Due to my hearings of your communion with chemosh the cursed.
Thus have I spoken,
Thus have I determined,
The throne of my faithful servant,
Shall no longer be yours.
